What's in it for my Clients?

MarkOneSM Series** annuities offer more than options—they let Clients make important decisions about how to grow and protect their retirement savings.

Clients can allocate money among several Cash Value Strategies.

Equity Index Strategies (EIS): Gives Clients the opportunity to link interest credited to percentage increases in the S&P 500®. Clients can:

  • Lock in gains annually through one-year point-to-point and monthly averaging strategies.
  • Maximize gains through longer duration point-to-point strategies.

Guaranteed One-Year Strategy: Offers Clients the certainty and predictability of a fixed interest rate.

Plus, Clients with liquidity needs can decide from which strategy they wish to withdraw.

 


With the MarkOneSM SE annuity, "strategies" are referred to as "methods," e.g., Equity Index Strategies are known as Equity Index Crediting Methods and the Guaranteed One-Year Strategy is known as the Guaranteed One-Year Method.

Liquidity and Accessibility



What's in it for my Clients?

The security of knowing their annuity value can be accessed** for life's uncertainties.

Surrender charge-free withdrawals—Up to 10% of the annuity value (less loan debt) may be withdrawn** each Contract year up to the following lifetime surrender charge-free limits:

  • MarkOneSM and MarkOneSM SE–no limit.
  • MarkOneSM Extra 4–75% of all premiums.
  • MarkOneSM Extra 8–50% of all premiums.

If the minimum required distribution is greater than 10% or the lifetime surrender charge-free limit, it may be withdrawn without penalty.

"Checkbook" access**—Owners can write two free "checks" per year, for a minimum of $500 per draft.

Confinement waiver—Owners confined to a hospital, hospice, or nursing facility can withdraw all or part of their annuity cash value in any Contract year without incurring surrender charges. Benefits are based on the Owner's age at issue.

Substantially Equal Periodic Payments (SEPP)—Under IRC 72(q) and (t), Clients age 59½ and younger can avoid the 10% income tax penalty for early withdrawals.

Systematic Income—Available on a monthly, quarterly, semiannual, or annual basis via Direct Deposit.

Premium Bonus



What's in it for my Clients?

We credit the annuity with an additional premium bonus which can be used to help increase returns on a suitable replacement or transfer into a MarkOneSM Series annuity.

A 4% or 8% premium bonus is available. From day one, these additional dollars are vested to their Annuity Cash Value!**

Beneficiary Rider Plus


What's in it for my Clients?

This innovative optional-term life insurance rider lets Clients:

  • Conveniently transfer more wealth to Beneficiaries.
  • Provide Beneficiaries with extra tax-free values to help pay income taxes due on death benefit.
  • Grow a tax-deferred inheritance for their Beneficiaries.

Plus, the rider is guaranteed issue—which means no underwriting or invasive medical questions.

Contract Years 1-5 Covers 28% of the gain** earned on the MarkOneSM Series or MarkOneSM SE annuity Contract.

Contract Years 6+
Covers 28% of the gain** earned on the MarkOneSM or MarkOneSM SE annuity Contract plus any gain carried over via a 1035 Exchange.

Guaranteed Choice
Guarantees the choice of determining how interest is credited to the Contract.

Guaranteed Access to Premium
Beginning in Year 1, guarantees access to as much as 10% per Contract year, up to the lifetime surrender charge-free limit or the minimum required distribution of the annuity value free of surrender charges.

Minimum Guaranteed Values
Greater of the Base Guarantee or the Contract Guarantee.

Lifetime Income Guarantees
After one year, Clients may convert their annuity into a guaranteed income stream. They may select from several income options that guarantee fixed payments; some will ensure that they never outlive their income. Any of these settlement options are guaranteed to be based on the greater of the annuity value, minus loan debt, or the minimum guaranteed annuity cash value, minus loan debt (less applicable premium tax). Income option periods vary based on premium bonus version selected.

Guaranteed Integrity of Rates
Equity index annuities offer the unique opportunity for equity participation combined with minimum guarantees to insulate Clients against market risk. To provide these valuable benefits, the insurance carrier enters into a series of sophisticated investment transactions. Certain market conditions, such as interest rate environment, mortality experience, and stock market volatility, will affect the percentage of the index growth that is credited to your Client's Contract. It is the Company's intent to monitor these factors regularly and to maintain as stable a crediting rate as possible.
