What’s in it for my Clients?

Easy–to–measure crediting rate strategies give clients control over how to grow and protect their money.

Index strategies allow clients to link interest credited to percentage increases in the S&P 500®††or Nasdaq-100®.§ Clients can choose from several annual reset strategies:

  • S&P 500® Monthly Averaging.
  • S&P 500® Point–to–Point.
  • S&P 500® Monthly Cap (available with PremierMarkSM Plus).
  • Nasdaq-100® Monthly Cap.

These strategies allow clients to lock in gains annually and keep previous gains from eroding.

The Guaranteed One–Year Strategy offers the certainty and predictability of a fixed interest rate.

Clients can:

  • Allocate their premium in any proportion to any or all of the strategies.§§
  • Transfer premium from the Guaranteed One–Year Strategy into any available index strategy at any time.

Liquidity and Accessibility


What’s in it for my Clients?

Peace of mind, knowing they can access their annuity value for life’s uncertainties.

Surrender charge–free withdrawals—Up to 10% surrender charge–free withdrawals annually after the first year (annuity value less loan debt). Certain tax-qualified plans allow minimum required distributions without surrender charges if the amount exceeds the surrender charge–free withdrawal amount. Clients also benefit from no lifetime maximum percentage for surrender charge-free withdrawals.

Checkbook” access—Owners can write two free “checks” per year ($25 per draft charge thereafter) for a minimum of $500 per draft.

Confinement Waiver—Owners confined to a hospital, hospice facility, or nursing facility may withdraw all or a percentage of their annuity value without surrender charge or market value adjustment. Amount available depends on age at issue.

Systematic Income Option—Clients can take withdrawals on an annual, semiannual, quarterly, or monthly basis.

Substantially Equal Periodic Payments (SEPP)—Allows clients to avoid income tax penalties on withdrawals prior to age 59½.

Surrender Charge Schedules
(9-year declining +/-MVA):

  • PremierMarkSM: 12, 12, 12, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 6%.
  • PremierMarkSM Plus: 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8%.

Premium Bonus


What’s in it for my Clients?

A jump-start on earnings with an optional 7% premium bonus on PremierMarkSM Plus.

The premium bonus:

  • Vests immediately.
  • Becomes part of the strategy value.
  • Applies to additional premium payments.

 

For example, a $100,000 initial premium into PremierMarkSM Plus would be credited as $107,000 and begin earning interest from day one.

This extra amount is automatically allocated according to their strategy selections.

The ability to help clients increase returns on a suitable replacement or transfer into PremierMarkSM Plus.

 

Beneficiary Rider Plus


What’s in it for my Clients?

The Beneficiary Rider Plus allows clients to:

  • Grow a tax-deferred inheritance for their beneficiaries.
  • Increase the amount of after-tax dollars beneficiaries receive.
  • Conveniently transfer more wealth to beneficiaries.

This optional term life insurance rider is guaranteed issue—no underwriting or invasive medical questions.

Contract Years 1–5
Covers 28% of the gain earned on the contract.

Contract Years 6+
Covers 28% of the gain earned on the contract plus any gain§ transferred into the contract via a 1035 Exchange.

Guarantees


What's in it for my Clients?

The security of knowing their hard-earned retirement money is protected by:

Guaranteed Choice
The choice of determining how interest is credited to the contract.

Guaranteed Access to Premium
Access to a portion of their annuity value each year.**

Minimum Guaranteed Values
The greater of the Base Guarantee or the Contract Guarantee.

Base Guarantee = 1% to 3% on 87.50% of premiums (varies by state and issue date).††

Contract Guarantee = 100% of premium allocated to all strategies, less withdrawals and deductions. Additionally, all premium allocated to the Guaranteed One-Year Strategy is guaranteed to earn a minimum of 1.50% annually.
